In-School Programs

Acelin specializes in providing cognitive-based remediation programs that are designed to address the neurological dysfunctions correlated with reading disorders and learning disabilities. These programs enable us to build and correct learning at its foundations. Our instructional methods not only generate results, but also help to ensure a progressive learning continuum for all students. The successes of Acelin treatment and interventions--which span the DC Metropolitan, New York, and Boston areas--have earned the endorsement of district leaders, principals, speech-language pathologists, and neurolopsychologists. Since opening in 2004, we have treated hundreds of students and families, and partnered with organizations such as Harlem Children's Zone, Friendship Public Charter Schools, and Seeds of Tomorrow. The In-School Programs (ISP) Division, which was pioneered in 2006, has supported more than 300 children and provided more than 26,000 hours of treatment.

Acelin employs a highly trained and experienced staff to work with students in our programs. Bringing years of experience in providing specialized literacy instruction to children and adults, they have treated students with a wide range of educational disabilities including dyslexia, auditory conception dysfunction, attention deficit disorder, autism, apraxia, and mental retardation. Our personnel are college educated, with several of them holding graduate and advanced degrees.
